Teaching with Intent: Applying Culturally Responsive Teaching to Library Instruction

چکیده

Despite increasingly diverse classrooms, librarians may teach to the middle without considering divergent experiences of actual students in class. Additionally, centrality whiteness academia and librarianship contribute a lack inclusivity library instruction classroom. Culturally responsive teaching (CRT) provides framework for realizing culturally students. This article presents theoretically grounded, practical applications CRT classroom within three suggested areas improvement: preparation, communication, facilitation.
